It’s great to have you here! We’re Craig Silverman and Alexios Mantzarlis and we’ve spent roughly 20 years researching and exposing a wide range of digital deception.

We created Indicator because our digital information ecosystem is under attack. Scammers, state actors, disinformation peddlers, unscrupulous marketers, and purveyors of AI slop are all clogging our online spaces with lousy, harmful content.

Indicator’s purpose is to provide engaged citizens and professionals — including journalists, analysts, researchers, and trust and safety workers — with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to identify and fight digital deception.
